You could say that Andy’s investing career began while he was studying systems engineering at the University of Florida back in the '70s.
After researching possible stock picks in giant books at the university library, he eventually bought shares in Schlumberger (SLB) in 1977. He then had his CFP before a decade had passed, and launched Wiegand Financial Group in 1985.
In addition to running WFG until his retirement in 2019, Andy has also been a restaurant owner, drummer in a band and semi-professional water skier. He lives in Seattle with his wife Theresa, and especially enjoys salmon fishing when he’s not helping people get rich.
